This 1 Day (6 hours) Course will ensure all learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Where a first aid needs assessment identifies the necessity for an emergency first aider in the workplace, this 6-hour qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982
A range of subjects are covered including:-

• Responsibilities and reporting • Resuscitation and AED awareness • Burns
• Assessment of the situation • Anatomy • Choking • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
• Minor injuries • Epilepsy • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Bleeding control • Shock

The learner will attain knowledge and the practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.
The FAA Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is unit 1 of the three-day FAA First Aid at Work qualification. From gaining this qualification learners could progress to completing unit 2 and being awarded the FAA First Aid at Work qualification.
